Tip #7 – Nightstand Notepad

Losing sleep trying to remember those important things for the next morning?  Keep a small notepad, or even sticky notes, on your nightstand along with a pen or pencil.  This will allow you to jot down those items that you need to remember for the next day.  Using sticky notes will allow you to easily transfer your reminders to another location such as your computer, day planner, or fridge.  Sleep with ease knowing you won’t forget something important the next day.

Sticky notes are a great way to keep goals simple and focused.

Don’t get bogged down with those New Year’s Resolutions. Many people believe they are made to be broken. Last year my youngest sister decided to make “goals” versus “resolutions”. Using three sticky notes, write a weekly goal on one, a monthly goal on another, and finally a yearly goal on the third. (You can even use different colored sticky notes if you want to differentiate your three goals.) Place the sticky notes in a place where you will see them multiple times each day (e.g. bathroom mirror, fridge, computer). As you reach a goal, date the sticky and keep them all in a safe place…you can go back at the end of the year and see what you’ve accomplished! Continue writing yourself new goals as you accomplish them and “stick” to it.
